Rights of the people of other religions in Islam and Religious tolerance towards Non-Muslims

Generally, our behaviour towards non Muslims is intolerant and isolation from them. Which is against the Quranic guidance. We feel for Muslims in India or China or anywhere else in the world we fight for equal right for Muslims but when it comes to giving the same right to non muslims in Muslim majority countries we go against these same rights and become intolerant.

We as Muslim must believe on Quranic verses such as: (Quran 2:256) “Let there be no compulsion inreligion: Truth stands out clear from Error”  and (Quran 18:29) “The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills – let him believe; and whoever wills – let him disbelieve.”

Above Quranic ayahs clearly shows that Islam prohibits application of force towards other religions, a forced conversion towards the people of other religions, any compulsion or force in application and compliance on Quranic guidance whatso ever. Let’s take a look at these ayahs in detail.

[Al-Baqarah 2:256] There shall be no compulsion in the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

[Al-Kahf 18:29 ]  And say, “The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills – let him believe; and whoever wills – let him disbelieve.” Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.

[An-Najm 53:29]  So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.

Quran also teaches us to look at ourselves first, i.e., what are we doing first and foremost. Are our actions and behaviour in accordance with Quran or not? Especially we muslims who are settled in so many non-Muslim countries all around the world.- where we build our mosques, claiming it as our rights on the basis of freedom of religion practice in democracy or even in communism. But when it comes to our own Muslim majority countries we do not give the same rights to non muslims.

So, why people of other religions can not have the same rights in Muslim countries?? This is hypocrisy, MUNAFIQAT, and this is completely wrong and against the teachings of Quran.

[Al-Baqarah 2:44]  Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?
