Sea Plants as Ayaat of Allah- by Yusra

“And Allah is the one who spread the earth and made in it, firm mountains and rivers, and of all fruits Allah has made in it two kinds (Zoujeen); Allah makes the night cover the day; most surely there are Ayaat in this for a people who reflect & ponder (Yatafakkarun). And in the earth, there are tracts side by side and gardens of grapes and corn and palm trees having one root and distinct roots– they are given nourishment with one water, and WE make some of them excel others in fruit; most surely there are Ayaat in this for a people who use brains (Ya’aqalun).” [Quran 13:3-4]

The homework given in the Quran Fahmi Classes was to pick ‘Sea Plants’ as one of Allah’s Ayaat being one of Allah’s creations, to seek knowledge about all the scientific facts about Sea plants and to connect it with one Ayat of Allah from Quran. This was the work done by Yusra a 10-year-old very talented and smart girl in our Quran Fahmi Class. She not only made this beautiful illustration, picked the Ayaat of Allah which talks about many creations of Allah, including the different types of plants but also these Ayah’s communicate the divine guidance to seek knowledge about these Ayaat of Allah for people who think, ponder, seek knowledge and use their intellectual faculties. She also explained to everyone the many scientific aspects of Sea Plants and why we are so grateful to Allah for this amazing creation and blessing- Alhamdullilah. We are blessed to have her as our student and pray that she continues to make us, teachers and parents, proud of her Inshallah. Please do remember her and her family in your duas and prayers.
