How has your life changed since the Pandemic began?
The Pandemic has changed how the way we live and survive! It all started in 2019 in China and spread to the whole world. The Scientists are still finding a way to deal with Covid 19. Like every important incident in our life, it has some bad effects and some good ones. In this essay, I will explain both aspects of the pandemic.
First, I am going to talk about the good things. The best thing that happened is that we had more time to spend with our family. Before the pandemic when we went to school, I didn’t get to see my family for 6 HOURS. But now due to everyone working from home, I could have a lovely and memorable family time. We have more quality family chats and fun by playing indoor games, me and my sister love to talk to my grandmother in our leisure time. I polished my skills and learned new hobbies like “coding” which I found very interesting. Secondly, it was fun to have an online school and I learned different ways to use technology which helped me to learn online Math, Science, Language, and many more. It was great making friends in an online school, although it was a different experience as I cannot meet them physically but I played virtually with them. One of the most important change is that I got closer to our religion because again I have way more time to pray and also, I had a wonderful opportunity to understand the Quran by taking Worldwide Quran Thinkers classes. This pandemic also reinforced the importance of cleanliness in our lives like we washed our hands more frequently and sanitize which helped us in staying away from germs. These are the good things that occurred in my life due to the Pandemic.
Now I am going to tell you about the bad things that happened in my life during the pandemic. Firstly, there was a lot of mental stress due to the virus, I usually think a lot about it, and thousands of people getting sick every day makes me sad. Secondly, it has impacted our lives socially because we couldn’t meet our cousins and friends due to the lockdown. I missed real school a lot because I wanted to go to school with my friends and play with them physically. Thirdly, it has a bad impact on our physical health, due to boredom we watched a lot of TV and screen time increased, we became lazier and less active by staying indoors. I pray to God that this pandemic ends soon and also the sufferings of our mankind.
In conclusion, life is like a rollercoaster and has ups and downs. But the winner is the one who dares to deal with every problem and learn to be happy and thankful to God in every situation. I hope that may we all emerge from this pandemic as a winner.
