What is Deen as per Quran
Let’s define the word Deen as per Quran. If we refer to the book to help us define the word Deen, Quran uses the word Deen in three broad categories of definition. These three definitions of the word Deen by Quran is 1) Law, rules & regulations; 2) Judgment, rewards and punishment and 3) Fitrat or nature. Therefore, the broad definition of the word Deen by Quran if we combine these three definitions are as follows
“Deen is the code of conduct provided to us by our creator- the God Almighty which defines the boundaries of our freedom & restrictions. These are God Given Rules & Regulations which are in accordance with our fitrat and which aims to bring out the very best in us utilizing our abilities to maximum. Deen is the complete set of rules and guidelines pertaining to each and every aspect of life, it is a complete code of conduct given by and perfected by God Almighty on the basis of which reward and punishment will be accorded in this world and the next”
If we study Quran, there is no concept of any sect, any group, any difference of opinion in matters of Deen as per Quran. Since Deen Aims to unite the Ummah, there is only one Deen- i.e. Deen-e-Islam as per Quran.
