And what they Yusha’erukum (يُشْعِرُكُمْ) you that it when Ja’ata (جَاءَتْ) not Yuminuna (يُؤْمِنُونَ).

[Quran 6:110] And Nuqallebu (وَنُقَلِّبُ) their Afa’edatuhum (أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ) and Abs’arehum (وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ) like what not they Yuminu (يُؤْمِنُوا) with it Awwalan (أَوَّلَ) Marratin (مَرَّةٍ) and Nazaruhum (وَنَذَرُهُمْ) in their T’ughyanehim (طُغْيَانِهِمْ) they Ya’mahun (يَعْمَهُونَ).

[Quran 6:112] And thus, Ja’alna (جَعَلْنَا) to every Nabiyin (نَبِيٍّ) Audwan (عَدُوًّا) Shayateena (شَيَاطِينَ)- the Ins (الْإِنْسِ) and the Jinna (وَالْجِنِّ)- Yuhiy (يُوحِي) some of them towards others- Zukhruf (زُخْرُفَ) the Quole (الْقَوْلِ) Gharoor (غُرُورًا). And if Sha’a (شَاءَ) Rabbuka (رَبُّكَ) what they did, then Zarhum (فَذَرْهُمْ) them and what they Yaftarun (يَفْتَرُونَ).

[Quran 6:113] And so that Tas’gha (وَلِتَصْغَىٰ) to it Afa’edatu (أَفْئِدَةُ) of those who do not Yuminun (يُؤْمِنُونَ) with Akhirat (بِالْآخِرَةِ) and so that Yarza’u (وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ) and so that Yaqtarefu (وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا) what they Muqtarefun (مُقْتَرِفُونَ).

[Quran 6:114] “Then, is it Ghair (أَفَغَيْرَ) Allah Abtaghy (أَبْتَغِي) Hikman (حَكَمًا) and Allah is the one who Anzala (أَنْزَلَ) upon you the Kitaab (الْكِتَابَ) Mufs’alan (مُفَصَّلًا)? And those who were given the Kitaab (الْكِتَابَ) Ya’maluna (يَعْلَمُونَ) that in Munazalun (مُنَزَّلٌ) from Rabbeka (رَبِّكَ) with Haqq (بِالْحَقِّ). Then not you Takunan (تَكُونَنَّ) of the Mumtareen (الْمُمْتَرِينَ).

[Quran 6:115] And Tammat (وَتَمَّتْ) Kalimatu (كَلِمَتُ) Rabbeka (رَبِّكَ) S’idqan (صِدْقًا) and A’dlan (وَعَدْلًا). Do not Mubaddil (مُبَدِّلَ) to Allah’s Kalemaatihi (لِكَلِمَاتِهِ) and Allah is the Samee’u (السَّمِيعُ) the A’leem (الْعَلِيمُ).

[Quran 6:116] And if Tut’ea’ (تُطِعْ) Aks’ar (أَكْثَرَ) of those on the earth, they Yuzalluka (يُضِلُّوكَ) from Sabeel (سَبِيلِ) of Allah. Not they Yatabe’un (يَتَّبِعُونَ) except the Zanna (الظَّنَّ) and indeed, they do nothing except Yukhrus’una (يَخْرُصُونَ).

١١٧  إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَنْ يَضِلُّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ

[Quran 6:117] Indeed, Rabbeka (رَبَّكَ) A’lamu (أَعْلَمُ) from those who Yaz’ella (يَضِلُّ) from Allah’s Sabeel (سَبِيلِهِ) and Allah A’alamu (أَعْلَمُ) with Muhtadeen (بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ).

B.   THE CONCEPT:

CONTEXT OF THESE AYAHS- WHAT WE HAVE DISCUSSED SO FAR

Through the earlier Ayahs of Suran Al Anam, we have learned about the concept of Shirk, the whole system of Shirk, the choice of two paths and what our conducts and behaviors with those who do Shirk should be. We have learned about the whole system of Shirk- Jinn as Shuraka’a, Baneen & Banaat: Those who do Shirk; breach and violate both the terms of covenant with Allah as well as Allah’s Haqq- the due right of Allah as the only deity by assigning partners with Allah such Shurakaa for they are Baneen- as those who are working for, laying the foundations for, walking in the footsteps of such Shurakaa as well as Binnate- committing such acts of working, laying the foundations and walking in the footsteps of these Shuraka’a without any knowledge and in complete ignorance since such Shuraka are Jinn- their real characteristics are hidden from them and they are unable to comprehend them. We, should, whenever encountered by such Baneen and Binnat, should strive with our whole beings with persistence and perseverance, by doing repeated actions and remaining steadfast on the path of Allah as well as by upholding and elevating the due rights of Allah, raising the rights and Haqq of Allah as the only deity, over what they stress, forcefully implement and assert in terms of their acts, system, laws and practices of Shirk.

Allah has then asked us, a very thought-provoking question- They to Allah Waladun, but why do you not to Allah Sahibatun? Allah asks a very thought-provoking question to us, as the addressee of the Quran, as, ‘How is it that they have managed to make this whole system of Shirk as if Allah is the one who has brought it all to life; whereas we, as those who are Amanu, who are the real companions of, working in close association with, upholding our covenant with Allah, how is it that we are doing nothing at all? This thought-provoking question basically is a divine instruction that we should do, everything in our might, power, resources and capabilities to bring to fruition Allah’s Amar, to bring everyone to the path of Allah, to expose Allah and Allah’s real message and to project Allah and Allah’s message. Since Allah is the source of all knowledge for each and everything in the universe, why are we then not working for the system of Allah to bring to completion Allah’s Deen and to counter their system of shirk through the Ayaat and Deen of Allah?

Then the earlier Ayahs have taught us the two paths- Abs’ara or A’amiya- and the Pros and Cons of each. Allah has given us the choice of two paths along with the pros and cons of each, giving us the freedom to choose and decide for ourselves. We can exercise either of these paths, but we have to be ready to face the consequences of our own choices and actions. Thus, once Allah has brought to fruition to us, the enlightenment, the ability of perceiving, understanding and getting the knowledge after the use of all our human faculties and intellect, either (1) we can treat these as from our Rabb- who is carrying out the process of Rabobiat for each and every one of us; or (2) we can choose to ignore the enlightenment. The consequences of each are then discussed that (1) Taking the Hidayah as guidance by Allah, the enlightenment as sourced by our Rabb, if we are enlightened then that would be the strength and benefit for our own Nafs, soul, and self- this would provide a complete nourishment, nurturing and growth of our Nafs in all- encompassing manner, resulting in success of both the worlds- the temporary life here on the earth as well as the hereafter in Akhira. And that’s how we get the privilege of Allah as being our Hafeez- protector, guardian, and protector for us. (2) But if, we chose to be blind, unable to perceive the Ayaat of Allah, engulfed in our blindness and closed mindedness; if we remain blind follower of those who are ambiguous, unknowable, unfathomable or obscure; if we take the Deen as changed by the whole system of Shirk to look something else altogether, rather than by the Kitaab- the Quran; if we hide the Ayaat of Allah, by making them look something else; if we are blind-sighted by reality in any manner and especially by Ayaat of Allah; if we camouflage Allah’s Ayaat, or cause the Ayaat to be camouflaged, blinded or cause blind sidedness to people from the Hidayah or we are camouflaged to be someone else entirely than how we were created by Allah; then we should be ready to face the consequences and perfect recompense for our own actions and choices.  Thus, for such people, Allah is not their guardian and protector, since Allah is Hafeez, only for those who choose to take Allah as their Rabb and deity and those who are enlightened by following the laws of only Allah. When all of us, would be returned to our Rabb, after the end of these temporary lives here on the earth, we would be returning back to the source from where we all have come from- our Rabb as our shelter and refuge and as the source of all judgment, wisdom and knowledge- At that time, we will all be informed of our actions as well as what our conducts, endeavors and behaviors really ended up of doing, either making us being enlightened ones, guarded and protected by Allah’s system or making us one of the Mushrekeen.

We have also learned what should be our conducts and Behaviors towards those who do Shirk- Aariz upon them but do not assist in any way: The earlier Ayahs have given us the divine instructions that our interactions and behaviors with those who do Shirk and are the Mushrekeen, should be that we should expose their acts of Shirk through these Ayaat of Allah and Allah’s message; explain to them in detail the Ayaat of Allah; with the help of these Ayaat of Allah, we should become a covering and a shield against their behaviors and conducts to expose them and spread out the Ayaat of Allah in front of them and their acts of Shirk in a manner that it becomes a hindrance and shield against them. But if we do not follow these divine instructions, i.e., if we do not A’ariz the Mushrekeen then the end result of the whole system of Allah, the way the whole system of Allah works is that we would then be appointed as their guardians, protectors and defenders and would in fact be working as their guardian, trustee, disposer of affairs, judge, witness, advocate, custodian and defender. This means that remaining silent on the face of injustice and Zulm against Allah’s Ayaat; any inaction in the face of acts of Shirk or by choosing not to take a stand against this system of Shirk, Shuraka’a, their followers, laws and system, is in fact equivalent to working for their benefit, as their guardian, trustee, disposer of affairs, judge, witness, advocate, custodian and defender. Every nation, community, and culture are formed as per their defined foundations, ways, means, customs, traditions and methods with which they grow up with as a part of their upbringing at their homes, their communities, their families and friends, culture and environment. Although these have nothing to do with the Kitaab- Allah’s message; but such traditions, cultures, ways, methods and norms are cherished, look pleasant and attractive to the followers of these customs, that are passed on generations by generations as blind followings. But we should not assist, help, give them ways, means, resources or assist them in any way such people and system who/which make Dua’a, seek help from, rely upon and take up as deities from other than Allah. Because if we do this, then without knowledge and in ignorance, we would have helped them in their animosity against Allah, as they would use the same resources, ways, means and support for their system of Shirk, against Allah and in direct opposition to Allah.

CONCEPT OF THESE AYAHS

Ayah 6:109, “And Aqsamu (وَأَقْسَمُوا) with Allah Jahada (جَهْدَ) their Aiemaanehim (أَيْمَانِهِمْ) that if Ja’ajahum (جَاءَتْهُمْ) them Ayat (آيَةٌ) so that they Yuminun (لَيُؤْمِنُنَّ) with it, Qul (قُلْ), ‘Indeed, only the Ayaat (الْآيَاتُ) near Allah. And what they Yusha’erukum (يُشْعِرُكُمْ) you that it when Ja’ata (جَاءَتْ) not Yuminuna (يُؤْمِنُونَ).”

And seeking division and separation between humanity in terms of being made distinctly divided, and separated from one another, seek to divide and cause divisions in humanity (وَأَقْسَمُوا) with Allah as if they are striving and working in the path of Allah to uphold (جَهْدَ) their oaths, contract and covenants with Allah (أَيْمَانِهِمْ) that if has come to them, brought to fruition upon (جَاءَتْهُمْ) them any sign (آيَةٌ) so that they could have sought knowledge, used their reasoning, be at Aman (لَيُؤْمِنُنَّ) with it, reflect from your conducts, speech and behaviours that (قُلْ), ‘Indeed, only the signs of Allah, the Ayaat of the kalam and the creations of Allah are (الْآيَاتُ) near Allah. And what they want to make you realize (يُشْعِرُكُمْ) that it when has brought to fruition when (جَاءَتْ) they do not seek knowledge, use their reasoning and be at Aman (يُؤْمِنُونَ).

Keeping in view the context of these Ayahs, this Ayah is a continuation of the same discussion, about those who take up Shuraka’a and seek help from those from besides Allah. Thus, this Ayah is saying that, those who do Shirk, and take up their Shuraka’ as their deities, whose laws they follow in matters of Deen instead of Allah’s; their basis aim and endeavors are to seek division and cause separation between humanity in terms of being made distinctly divided, and separated from one another as they seek to divide and cause divisions in humanity through using Allah- as if they are striving and working in the path of Allah to uphold their oaths, contract and covenants with Allah- as if a sign of Allah has come to them, as if they are the ones who are at Aman, who have sought knowledge, used their reasoning with that sign of Allah, that no one else. Therefore, we, are given a direct divine instruction to reflect from our conducts, speech and behaviors to general public that, the only Ayaat of Allah, are those that are mentioned in the kalam of Allah- the laws of the Deen, the Ayaat of the Kitaab as well as those that are scattered all around us in science and universe, the many creations of Allah. Hence there is no possibility that they would have received any Ayat from Allah, that no one else has. We have been asked to counter the endeavors of such people by giving counter arguments and teaching everyone that how can such people, who rely on other than Allah, who have taken up deities from besides Allah, who take their Shuraka’a as their deities, – how can they make you realize anything when they themselves do not seek knowledge, use their reasoning and be at Aman with Allah.

Ayah 6:110, “And Nuqallebu (وَنُقَلِّبُ) their Afa’edatuhum (أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ) and Abs’arehum (وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ) like what not they Yuminu (يُؤْمِنُوا) with it Awwalan (أَوَّلَ) Marratin (مَرَّةٍ) and Nazaruhum (وَنَذَرُهُمْ) in their T’ughyanehim (طُغْيَانِهِمْ) they Ya’mahun (يَعْمَهُونَ).”

And all of their intentional decision making of their closed hearts and minds (وَنُقَلِّبُ) are reflective of their thoughts, feelings, viewpoints and opinions (أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ) and their perceptions, understandings and vision (وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ) like what did not sought knowledge, used their reasoning and be at Aman (يُؤْمِنُوا) with it- the Ayaat for the very first (أَوَّلَ) time (مَرَّةٍ) and they would be left and disconnected from them (وَنَذَرُهُمْ) in their overstepping the boundaries, crossing the boundaries in terms of extreme transgression, their endeavors of the path of Taghut, wherein they have transgressed in extreme transgression, crossing the boundaries of the path of Allah and are working in the path of Taghut (طُغْيَانِهِمْ) where they would wander, and be lost (يَعْمَهُونَ).

This Ayah is the continuation of the direct divine instructions to us, as to how to counter the endeavors of such people by our interactions with public at large, by saying that all of the intentional decisions, based on their closed mindedness of such Mushrikeen are reflective of their views, thoughts, feelings, viewpoints, opinions, understandings and perceptions- all of which are clearly showing that they were not the ones who Amanu, since they had not sought knowledge, did not use their faculties and have not been at Aman with Ayaat of Allah, the Kitaab and Allah’s message from the very first time. After highlighting what their conducts and behaviors are clearly showing, the direct divine instruction that we should be projecting to everyone, concerning such people is that everyone should cut off, end their association with them and they should be left in their path of Taghut. The system of Taghoot is established as an opposite of Allah’s system and used by Shaiytan to mislead people far away from the Hidayah and Allah’s Path. When Allah says in Quran that the only Hikm in matters of Deen is Allah, it means that all of Allah’s laws of Deen are mentioned in Quran, the Kitaab by Allah as the only lawmaker, the only judge. When those who claim to be Momineen, but they follow the laws of the Taghoot outside of the Kitaab, then such people should be left in their Tughyani wandering and transgressing away from the path of Allah as a consequence of their behaviors which is that they would digress, and stray away from the path of Allah and will be engulfed in the path of Taghut that include each and everything such as people, beings, things, laws, judgments, rulings, books, elements- the whole system which they follow instead of Allah’s revelations & the Kitaab in state of extreme transgression and crossing of boundaries.

Ayah 6:111, “And if Nazalna (نَزَّلْنَا) upon them the Malaika (الْمَلَائِكَةَ) and Kallamuhumm (وَكَلَّمَهُمُ) them the Moutey (الْمَوْتَىٰ) and Hasharna (وَحَشَرْنَا) upon them every Shayyin (شَيْءٍ) Qubulan (قُبُلًا) what Kanu (كَانُوا) so that they Yuminu (لِيُؤْمِنُوا) except that Allah Yasha’a (يَشَاءَ) but Aks’arahim (أَكْثَرَهُمْ) of them Yajhalun (يَجْهَلُونَ).”

And if Allah would have been the source of all that they would have witnessed and received (نَزَّلْنَا) upon them all the forces, creations and powers of nature (الْمَلَائِكَةَ) and they would have come face to face with, witnessing, Allah’s Kalam- it does not just include, Amar, phases or periods or tests of life from Allah, but also extends to include Allah’s rules and commandments as per Deen as well as Allah’s systems and Laws of nature in the form of (وَكَلَّمَهُمُ) the death- in both literal as well as metaphorical sense of being far extreme in Kufar (الْمَوْتَىٰ) and they would have faced the consequences as recompense for their actions (وَحَشَرْنَا) upon them every aspect, deeds, action, element, law, system, thing (شَيْءٍ) from before (قُبُلًا) what they aimed to reach the final destination through their endeavors (كَانُوا) so that they would have been at Aman (لِيُؤْمِنُوا) except that they connect with, synchronize with and align themselves with the whole system of Allah (يَشَاءَ) but the reality is that most and to a large extent (أَكْثَرَهُمْ) those who do not have knowledge, illiterate, or those who are foolish, unwise or stupid, as they do not use their Aqal, reasoning and intellect- common sense or they do not have knowledge; i.e. of them being in utter state of ignorance, lack of knowledge, doubts, destruction and darkness (يَجْهَلُونَ).

Continuation of the discussion about those who are following the path of Taghut, this Ayah is basically defining the system of Allah- Allah’s Sha’aa’. Allah is the Sovereign of Creation who has created the Universe on the basis of certain laws of nature and it is a world of cause and effect. Every effect has a cause behind it. It is a ‘Sha’a’ of Allah that these laws have been created and set-in place and always work as designed and created by Allah. All phenomena of nature are bound by a set of laws which never change. It’s also the Allah Sha’a to give humanity freedom, freewill to choose and decide, but whatever any person chose has to face the consequences of his/her decision as per Allah’s laws of cause and effect. Once freewill is given, and Hidayah is provided by Allah, the whole concept of Accountability and Emaan on Akhira is then closely aligned with this freewill. Thus, this Ayah is basically telling us about the Sha’a of Allah, the whole system of Allah, which is designed in a manner that such people who follow the path of Taghut are shaken and made to wake up from their deep sleep times and again- many such instances and ways and means of trying to bring such people to Allah’s path is identified in this Ayah. Since Allah is the source of all that we receive as humanity and all the Malaik, forces and laws of nature are working in synchronization with each other to bring people to Allah’s path, which might happen (1) if people come face to face with, witnessing, Allah’s Kalam, which might include any of Allah’s Amar, phases or periods or tests of life from Allah; or any of Allah’s rules, laws and commandments either as per Deen or as per the Laws of nature or (2) this might even be in the extreme form of the death- in both literal such as near death experiences as well as in metaphorical sense of having reached far extreme in Kufar, and not alive anymore or (3) they would have faced the consequences as recompense for their own actions for each and every thing and aspect that they have done from before; but the reality is that none of these help and aid from the system of Allah is going to bring anyone to the path of Allah, unless and until they themselves aim to reach the final destination through their own endeavors to Amanu, to seek knowledge, to use their reasoning and to be at Aman. Thus, unless and until they themselves choose to connect with, synchronize with and align themselves with the whole system of Allah, they will not be able to rescue themselves from the system of Shirk and the path of Taghut.  The harsh reality is that most people who do not have knowledge, are foolish, unwise or stupid as they do not use their Aqal, reasoning and intellect; they are in utter state of ignorance, lack of knowledge, doubts, destruction and darkness to a large extent.

Ayah 6:112, “And thus, Ja’alna (جَعَلْنَا) to every Nabiyin (نَبِيٍّ) Audwan (عَدُوًّا) Shayateena (شَيَاطِينَ)- the Ins (الْإِنْسِ) and the Jinna (وَالْجِنِّ)- Yuhiy (يُوحِي) some of them towards others- Zukhruf (زُخْرُفَ) the Quole (الْقَوْلِ) Gharoor (غُرُورًا). And if Sha’a (شَاءَ) Rabbuka (رَبُّكَ) what they did, then Zarhum (فَذَرْهُمْ) them and what they Yaftarun (يَفْتَرُونَ).”

Ayah 6:113, “And so that Tas’gha (وَلِتَصْغَىٰ) to it Afa’edatu (أَفْئِدَةُ) of those who do not Yuminun (يُؤْمِنُونَ) with Akhirat (بِالْآخِرَةِ) and so that Yarza’u (وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ) and so that Yaqtarefu (وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا) what they Muqtarefun (مُقْتَرِفُونَ).”

And thus, appoint for duties (جَعَلْنَا) to every person, who has brought as well as every message of Allah (نَبِيٍّ) animosity, hatred and opposition (عَدُوًّا) all those working under the influence of their egoistic selves (شَيَاطِينَ) who could be either in the form of human beings (الْإِنْسِ) as well as such humans whose real traits are hidden and people are not able to comprehend them (وَالْجِنِّ)- the word Wahiy or Auhiya is to do with people changing their behaviors and conducts, – in both good and bad ways, as a result of and being under the influence of something that has been Nazool upon them such as Allah’s Kitaab (the book of revelations) or Shaytani thoughts; thus such Shayateen cause to influence and impact to change the behaviors of (يُوحِي) some of them towards others- such adornments, basic tool of (زُخْرُفَ) their speech, conducts and endeavors that are (الْقَوْلِ) deception, wishful thinking, delusions, and something which is not true or far from Haqq (absolute truth); delusional, falsehood, deception, and full of wishful thinking (غُرُورًا). And if they would have connected to the system (شَاءَ) of their Rabb in the past (رَبُّكَ), then they would not have done what they did; and then they would have been left (فَذَرْهُمْ) and what they had done by associating their opinions as if those are of Allah’s (يَفْتَرُونَ).

And so that you incline, prepare, educate, mold and systemize (وَلِتَصْغَىٰ) to Allah’s Message- the Naboa’at and the system of Allah, their thoughts, feelings, viewpoints and opinions (أَفْئِدَةُ) of those who do not seek knowledge, use their reasoning to be at Aman (يُؤْمِنُونَ) with respect to the concept of accountability and of their perfect recompense to be faced sooner or later (بِالْآخِرَةِ) and so that they could connect with, synchronize and align with the system of Allah in order to get the benefits from it (وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ) and so that they perpetrate, commit, perform, execute and earn such deeds (وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا) what their earnings, commitments, performance and perpetration really derserve (مُقْتَرِفُونَ).

After discussing the Sha’a of Allah, its main end results and aspects, and the fact the most of those from humanity are Jahilun- unaware, ignorant, in utter and deep doubts, confusions and ignorance to a large extent, since they do not seek knowledge or use their Aqal, reasoning and thinking faculties. It’s because of this that for every person who has been appointed as Allah’s Nabiy as well as every Naba of Allah, is met with huge opposition, rebelliousness, dislike and animosity by such people who are all working as Shayateen, being influenced by Khutuwaat of Shaitaan and working under the influence of their own egoistic self and Nafs-e-Ammara. This Ayah describes two such types of Shayateen, Ins- those from the humanity as well as Jinn- those who we can not comprehend, such human beings whose real traits are hidden and unknown to us. And some of such Ins and Jinn are the source of Wahiy for others- influencing their change in behaviors and causing them to change their behaviors under the influence of their egoistic thoughts. The basic tool and method on the basis of which they are able to influence and impact each other, is that their speech, conducts and endeavors are decorated, made to look beautiful, attractive and pleasant by the use of false, delusional, full of wishful thinking and deception-based conducts, speech and behaviors. However, Allah gives the divine wisdom in this Ayah, that contrary to such conducts and behaviors, if on the other hand, if they, in the past were connected to the system of their Rabb, then they would not done those deeds and then would have left them and what they had associated their own opinions with Allah in the past. At the same time, Allah gives us, the direct divine instructions to incline, make them connect to system of Allah, prepare them, educate and mold them to the Nabiyin, Allah’s message by influencing their thoughts, feelings, viewpoints and opinions of such people who do not have Emaan on the concept of accountability. Because, based on your efforts and endeavors to incline and systematize them to the system of Allah, there is a possibility that they might connect and benefit from the system of Allah so that they are also able to perpetrate, commit, perform, earn what their commitment, performance, perpetration, due earnings are. When such people would be aligned and connected with Allah’s system and Allah’s blessings, in terms of what is the desired end result of Allah’s system of natural laws as well as the laws of the deen; when they would follow this system and are aligned with this system of Allah’s laws, they would also get connected to and benefit from the Allah’s system by committing, performing the desired acts, following these laws and aligning their behaviors and conducts with Allah’s system, then they would also get the desired benefits and results of their actions.

Ayah 6:114, “Then, is it Ghair (أَفَغَيْرَ) Allah Abtaghy (أَبْتَغِي) Hikman (حَكَمًا) and Allah is the one who Anzala (أَنْزَلَ) upon you the Kitaab (الْكِتَابَ) Mufs’alan (مُفَصَّلًا)? And those who were given the Kitaab (الْكِتَابَ) Ya’maluna (يَعْلَمُونَ) that in Munazalun (مُنَزَّلٌ) from Rabbeka (رَبِّكَ) with Haqq (بِالْحَقِّ). Then not you Takunan (تَكُونَنَّ) of the Mumtareen (الْمُمْتَرِينَ).”

Then, is it other than (أَفَغَيْرَ) Allah that you seek to follow; crave after, to desire, with the aim of and in quest of (أَبْتَغِي) as judge and lawmaker in Deen (حَكَمًا) and Allah is the one who is the source of all that is received by humanity and (أَنْزَلَ) upon you in the form of all the laws of Deen and the laws of nature of the whole of Allah’s system are such that (الْكِتَابَ) are based on the laws of cause and effect (مُفَصَّلًا)? And those who were given the Kitaab (الْكِتَابَ) know, get the knowledge (يَعْلَمُونَ) that in what has been sourced by Allah (مُنَزَّلٌ) from their Rabb in the past (رَبِّكَ) with absolute truth, justice and as their duty and responsibility (بِالْحَقِّ). Then not you aim to reach the final destination through your endeavors to be (تَكُونَنَّ) of those who are doubtful and who lack knowledge (الْمُمْتَرِينَ).

Since Allah is the only Hikm in Deen, the only law maker and judge in matters of Deen and Allah has communicated all these laws in the Kitaab- the Kalam of Allah. When someone follows laws from outside the Kitaab, it’s like they have taken Hikm from besides Allah. Thus, this Ayah is asking a thought-provoking question that, is it other than Allah that you seek to follow; crave after, to desire, with the aim of and in quest of making them as your judge and lawmaker in Deen, whereas Allah is the one who is the source of all that is received by humanity and upon you in the form of all the laws of Deen and the laws of nature. The whole of Allah’s system are such that are based on the laws of cause and effect, the laws of requital, whatever goes around, comes around- whatever one’s actions and decisions are, the person has to face the consequences of those actions as payback and recompense sooner or later. Thus, those who were given the Kitaab know that Allah is the one who is the source of each and everything as the being who is carrying out the process of Raboibiat for everyone- Allah is the one who has blessed the humanity with all the Naimat, bounties and blessings with absolute truth, justice and as our duty and responsibility to treat Allah as our only Hikm in Deen, as our only deity, whose laws we should follow in matter of Deen. Then Allah gives us a direct divine instruction warning us against and asking us not to aim through our endeavors to be of those who are doubtful, who lack knowledge, those who make assumptions, enter into arguments and disagreements rather than following the Haqq- the absolute truth as mentioned in Quran; those who assume, mix baatil with haqq, enter into disputes and disagreements with each other on things which are not clear to them, and for which they do not have the knowledge.

Ayah 6:115, “And Tammat (وَتَمَّتْ) Kalimatu (كَلِمَتُ) Rabbeka (رَبِّكَ) S’idqan (صِدْقًا) and A’dlan (وَعَدْلًا). Do not Mubaddil (مُبَدِّلَ) to Allah’s Kalemaatihi (لِكَلِمَاتِهِ) and Allah is the Samee’u (السَّمِيعُ) the A’leem (الْعَلِيمُ).”

And bring to conclusion, discharged, completed, realized Allah’s Naimat through the Deen, the perfection of Deen (وَتَمَّتْ)- Allah’s Kalam that does not just include just the Amar, phases or periods or tests of life from Allah, but also extends to include Allah’s rules and commandments as per Deen as well as Allah’s systems and Laws of nature (كَلِمَتُ) you Rabb, that has been in the past revealed to you (رَبِّكَ) by communicating it as it is, with sincerity, with purest intentions and honesty without any pretense or faking but is done with the purity of heart and intentions, keeping actions/deeds aligned with internal intentions and honesty (صِدْقًا) and being fair and just in all one’s dealings regardless of one’s own likeness or hatred, making sure that justice at its best is accorded to the delivering of Allah’s Kalam(وَعَدْلًا). Do not, in any way, end up in Mubaddil- replacing one aspect with another; Do not amend, change, add or delete in any shape of form (مُبَدِّلَ) the Allah’s Kalaam, the message, the wisdom; Allah’s Kalam that does not just include just the Amar, phases or periods or tests of life from Allah, but also extends to include Allah’s rules and commandments as per Deen as well as Allah’s systems and Laws of nature (لِكَلِمَاتِهِ) and Allah is the one who is All-observing, from all aspects and all perceptions  (السَّمِيعُ) the All-knowing (الْعَلِيمُ).

After giving the divine instructions to not be of those who are Mumtareen, Allah continues the divine instruction in this Ayah to discharge our responsibilities by realizing Allah’s Naimat that Allah has bestowed upon us in the form of completion and perfection of the Deen- the Kalam of Allah, the laws of Deen by our Rabb- We should communicate it as it is, with sincerity, with purest intentions and honesty without any pretense or faking but is done with the purity of heart and intentions, keeping actions/deeds aligned with internal intentions and honesty as well as by being fair and just in all one’s dealings regardless of our own likeness or aversion, making sure that justice at its best is accorded to the delivering of Allah’s Kalam to everyone as is. We cannot in any way, replace Allah’s Kalam with what it is not, we cannot amend, change, add or delete in any shape or form the Allah’s Kalaam since Allah is the one who is All-observing, from all aspects, perceptions and All-knowing as well as the source of all knowledge, perceptions, enlightenment and wisdom.

Ayah 6:116, “And if Tut’ea’ (تُطِعْ) Aks’ar (أَكْثَرَ) of those on the earth, they Yuzalluka (يُضِلُّوكَ) from Sabeel (سَبِيلِ) of Allah. Not they Yatabe’un (يَتَّبِعُونَ) except the Zanna (الظَّنَّ) and indeed, they do nothing except Yukhrus’una (يَخْرُصُونَ).”

Ayah 6:117, “Indeed, Rabbeka (رَبَّكَ) A’lamu (أَعْلَمُ) from those who Yaz’ella (يَضِلُّ) from Allah’s Sabeel (سَبِيلِهِ) and Allah A’alamu (أَعْلَمُ) with Muhtadeen (بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ).”

And if you follow; be of those who are obedient followers out of their likes and abilities, without any force or compulsion, due to their own internal inclination, enthusiasm, motivation, eagerness and commitment (تُطِعْ) most and to a large extent (أَكْثَرَ) of those on the earth, they will lead the way to destruction & failure, would cause doubts, confusions, ambiguities and uncertainties; and they mislead you far away (يُضِلُّوكَ) from the path (سَبِيلِ) of Allah. They would seek through their follow-up actions as subsequent to you following them, in terms of them doing subsequently and leading towards (يَتَّبِعُونَ) nothing except the delusions, assumptions, falsehood, wishful thinking; leading towards such assumptions, traditions, norms, hypotheses, guesses, theories and hearsay which they have adopted due to lack of knowledge, Haqq, confirmed facts or any verification of facts which are Ghair- other than, contradictory of, against, without, the Haqq- the absolute and confirmed truth, which are basically used to mislead people away from the Sabeel of Allah, includes doing Shirk, and being a part of such system, which is against Haqq and Hidaya as well as supporting or being those who associating anything in the name of Allah, portraying and expressing their opinion as if that statement is from Allah and is from kalam of Allah (الظَّنَّ) and indeed, they do nothing except lie, misstate their own opinions as facts, put forward opinions formed without knowledge and tell lies (يَخْرُصُونَ). Indeed, the being who is carrying out the process of Rabobiat for everyone (رَبَّكَ) knows and gives knowledge (أَعْلَمُ) through those who has in the past, have led lead the way to destruction & failure, caused doubts, confusions, ambiguities and uncertainties; and have mislead far away (يَضِلُّ) from Allah’s path (سَبِيلِهِ) and Allah knows and gives knowledge (أَعْلَمُ) also through those who are the guided ones, are working on the path of Allah and are on Hidayah (بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ).

After giving direct instructions w.r.t. Allah’s Kalam, Allah is now warning against taking up any Hikm from besides Allah by telling us that ‘if you are obedient followers of most of those on earth, they would cause confusions and mislead you far away from path of Allah since they if you become their followers, they do nothing to seek through their follow-up actions except causing delusions, assumptions, falsehood, wishful thinking; leading towards such assumptions, traditions, norms, hypotheses, guesses, theories and hearsay which they have adopted due to lack of their knowledge, that are basically used to mislead people away from the Sabeel of Allah, includes doing Shirk, and being a part of such system, which is against Haqq and Hidaya as well as supporting or being those who associate anything in the name of Allah, portraying and expressing their opinion as if that statement is from Allah and is from kalam of Allah. And they do nothing except lie, misstate their own opinions as facts, put forward opinions formed without knowledge and tell lies.  After warning us about most of those on earth as leaders and preachers, Allah is telling us the divine wisdom that Allah who is carrying out the process of Rabobiat for everyone, knows and gives knowledge through such people who has in the past, have led the way to destruction & failure, caused doubts, confusions, ambiguities and uncertainties; and have mislead far away from the path of Allah. Allah also knows and gives knowledge through those who are the guided ones- those who are working on the path of Allah and are on Hidayah.

C.    IMPLEMENTATION IN TODAY’S LIFE:

These Ayahs of Surah Al-Ana’m i.e., 6:109 to 117 are basically continuation of the same discussion, about those who take up Shuraka’a and seek help from those from besides Allah by giving us the following divine guidance that we can apply in our day to day lives.

  • CONDUCTS & BEHVAIOURS OF THOSE WHO WANT TO INDUCT PEOPLE TO THEIR SYSTEM OF SHIRK: Their basic aims and endeavors are to seek division and cause separation between humanity through and using Allah- as if they are striving and working in the path of Allah to uphold their covenants with Allah- as if a sign of Allah has come to them, as if they are the only ones who are at Aman with that sign of Allah that no one else is. Therefore, we, have been advised to warn people at large only the Ayaat of Allah, as those that are mentioned in the kalam of Allah and the many creations of Allah are the real Ayaat of Allah. Hence there is no possibility that anyone would have received any Ayat from Allah that no one else has. We have been asked to counter the endeavors of such people by teaching everyone that how can such people, who rely on other than Allah, who have taken up deities from besides Allah, who take their Shuraka’a as their deities – how can they make you realize anything when they themselves are not Amanu; when they do not seek knowledge and do use their reasoning to be at utter conviction with all these Ayaat of Allah. Them being blind followers with their closed mindedness is reflected from their views, thoughts, viewpoints, opinions, understandings and perceptions- all of which clearly tell us that they have never Amanu with Ayaat of Allah. The divine instructions w.r.t. such people are that they should be left wandering aimlessly and blindly in their path and the system of Taghoot and Shirk, that they have established as opposition to Allah’s system.

  • THE SHA’A OF ALLAH: The whole system of Allah is designed in a manner that such people who follow the path of Taghut are shaken and made to wake up from their deep sleep times and again. Since Allah is the source of all that we receive as humanity and all the Malaik, forces and laws of nature are working in synchronization with each other to bring people to Allah’s path, three such instances and ways of trying to bring such people to Allah’s path is identified in these ayahs that are (1) if people come face to face with, witnessing, and being exposed to Allah’s Kalam, which might include any of Allah’s Amar, phases or periods or tests of life from Allah; or any of Allah’s rules, laws and commandments either as per Deen or as per the Laws of nature or Allah’s Kitaab; or (2) this coming face to face and witnessing the Kalam of Allah might even be in the form of death- in both literal such as near death experiences as well as in metaphorical sense of having reached far extreme in blind following, of being in extreme state of Kufar and not being ‘alive’ anymore; or (3) they would have faced the consequences as recompense for their own actions for everything that they have done from before. Anyone of these events can help shake up people from the path of Taghut to bring them to Allah’s Path. However, the reality is that none of these help and aid from the system of Allah is going to bring anyone to the path of Allah, unless and until they themselves aim to reach this destination through their own endeavors to Amanu, to seek knowledge, to use their reasoning and to be at Aman. Thus, unless they themselves choose to connect with, synchronize with and align themselves with the whole system of Allah, they will not be able to rescue themselves from the system of Shirk and the path of Taghut. The harsh reality is that most people are not aware, they do not have knowledge as they do not use their Aqal, reasoning and intellect; and they remain in that utter state of ignorance, doubts, unawareness and darkness to a large extent.

  • OPPOSITION TO ALLAH’S NABA, HOW DOES IT WORK & THE BASIC TOOL: All Naba of Allah, Allah’s message and Hidaya is met with huge opposition and animosity by such people who are all working as Shayateen, being influenced by Khutuwaat of Shaitaan and working under the influence of their own egoistic self and Nafs-e-Ammara. Such Shayateen are either those from among their own community members or near and dear ones, whom they know and understand or such people could also be those whom they cannot comprehend since the real traits of such Shayateen are hidden and unknown to them. The basic tool on the basis of which they are able to influence and impact others causing to change the behaviors is that their speech, conducts and endeavors are decorated to look, feel and sound beautiful, attractive and pleasant with the use of false, delusional, full of wishful thinking and deception-based aspects.

  • WHAT IF THEY ARE SHA’A OF ALLAH: If, on the other hand, they had connected to the system of Allah- the Sha’a of Allah, then they would not have done those deeds and then they would have been left as well as all that they had associated in the past of their own opinions with Allah. Thus, as the addressee of the Quran, we are instructed to incline such people who do not have Emaan on the concept of accountability- to make them connect to the system of Allah- to prepare, educate and mold them to Allah’s message by influencing their thoughts, feelings, viewpoints and opinions. Because, based on our efforts and endeavors to incline and systematize them to the system of Allah, there is a possibility that they might connect and benefit from the system of Allah so that they are also able to perpetrate, commit and perform and therefore earn the benefits from the system of Allah based on their commitment, performance, perpetration and due earnings.

  • HOW CAN ANYONE TAKE UP DIETIES FROM OTHER THAN ALLAH WHEN ALLAH HAS ANZALA THE KITAAB? How can anyone take up deities from besides Allah, follow laws of Deen from outside the Kalam of Allah by committing acts of Shirk and taking up Shuraka’a, when Allah is the one who is the source of all that is received by humanity; who has blessed us through the Kitaab, the laws of nature and the laws of Deen- when the whole of Allah’s system are such that are based on the laws of cause and effect – when Allah is the being who is carrying out the process of Raboibiat for everyone- when Allah is the one who has blessed the humanity with all the Naimat, bounties and blessings with absolute truth, justice and as our duty and responsibility to treat Allah as our only Hikm in Deen, as our only deity, whose laws we should follow and be obedient of in matters of Deen? Based on all this, the divine instruction is never to be of the Mumtareen- those who are doubtful, who do not seek or have knowledge, who make assumptions, enter into arguments and disagreements rather than following the Haqq- absolute truth & justice; who assume and mix Baatil- falsehood, injustice with haqq- truth & justice and who enter into disputes and disagreements with each other on things which are not clear to them without knowledge.

  • OUR DUTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE KALAM OF ALLAH: We can discharge our responsibilities by realizing Allah’s Kalam is basically the epitome of Allah’s Naimat that Allah has bestowed upon us in the form of completion and perfection of the Deen. It’s our responsibility and duty towards our Rabb to communicate it as it is, with sincerity, with purest intentions and honesty without any pretense or faking, with the purity of heart and intentions, keeping actions and deeds aligned with internal intentions and honesty as well as by being fair and just in all our dealings and communications of Allah’s Kalam regardless of our own likeness or aversion, making sure that justice at its best is accorded to the delivering of Allah’s Kalam to everyone as is and through all our means and resources. We cannot in any way, replace Allah’s Kalam with what it is not- we cannot amend, change, add or delete in any shape or form the Allah’s Kalaam or any of it, since Allah is All-observing and All-knowing.

  • WHAT IF WE FOLLOW THE MOST ON EARTH- THE DIVINE WARNINGS: For those who take up any Hikm from besides Allah, following their laws instead of the laws as per the Kalam of Allah, the divine warning is that ‘if you are obedient followers of most of those on earth, they would cause confusions and mislead you far away from path of Allah since they do nothing except cause delusions, assumptions, falsehood, wishful thinking; leading you all towards such traditions, norms, assumptions, guesses, theories and hearsay which they have adopted due to the lack of their knowledge. And they do nothing except lie, misstate their own opinions as facts, as if those are of Allah’s Kalam, put forward opinions formed without knowledge and tell lies. On the other hand Allah is the one who not only knows what such people are doing but also gives knowledge to us through these people who have misled everyone away from the path of Allah. Similarly, Allah is also the one who not only knows but also gives knowledge through those who are the guided ones- those who are working on the path of Allah and are on Hidayah.
